FAQ’s and First-Time Questions

Therapy is a gentle, steady space to hold the things that feel too heavy to carry on your own. It is a confidential sanctuary where you do not have to put on a brave face or pretend everything is fine. When you are dealing with profound changes—like losing someone you love, navigating the complexities of marriage, raising kids, or feeling your motivation completely dry up—a therapist is there to sit in that quiet, heavy space with you, helping you process the pain and pressure without judgment.
Experiencing significant life stressors can feel deeply isolating, especially when you are trying to balance the needs of your family and partner while your own inner world feels like it has ground to a halt. Therapy gives you permission to pause, grieve, and gradually rebuild your energy at your own pace.

Individual sessions cost $195, and couples sessions cost $210 for each 50-minute session. For detailed information regarding accepted insurance, network status, and coverage options, please visit the Insurance tab on this website. If your plan is not listed, I am glad to provide a "superbill" that you can submit to your provider for potential reimbursement, though it is the client’s responsibility to verify directly with their insurance company whether they have out-of-network benefits. If your provider is accepted, please bring up your specific plan during our initial phone consultation so we can discuss the next steps.

I am an in-network provider for several major insurance plans, making mental health services more accessible for individuals, couples, and families throughout California. I accept the above health insurance providers:
Please bring your specific insurance plan and member ID details to our initial phone consultation so we can discuss your coverage options and verify network status.
How do I use my insurance for my therapy sessions?
During our initial phone consult, we will review your insurance information. I will bill your insurance provider directly for our 50-minute sessions. Depending on your specific plan's structure, you may only be responsible for a copayment or coinsurance amount at the time of your session, or your sessions may count toward your annual deductible.
What if you do not accept my specific insurance plan?
If I am an out-of-network provider for your insurance company, you can still access care. Individual sessions cost $195, and couples sessions cost $210. I will gladly provide you with a "superbill" (a standardized, itemized receipt for medical services) that you can submit directly to your insurance company. Many insurance providers offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services.
